Accessing Resources – Box Widget
Once you’ve landed on the Shared Practice page, you should see a large box with a list of documents. Documents are sorted by upload date, so the more recent the upload, the higher the document will be in the box.
- Note: for security purposes, you may need to click and drag an animated white cloud into a gray cloud to view the documents. Once you’ve completed that task, you should see the Shared Practice widget.
Box is a cloud content management and file sharing service for businesses. It won’t require an account to access resources within the widget. You can either:
- preview the document by clicking on the title within the window, or
- download and save the document to your computer
You can access all the documents within the folder at any time. New uploaded documents will be seen automatically after refreshing the page.
Uploading a File
At the bottom of the Shared Practice page, there is a File Upload widget. This is where you can upload your personal Cancer Patient Navigation resources to share with the CaNSuN network.
- Once you’ve identified the file you want to share, and you have confirmed the name of the file is meaningful, either drag and drop the file into the widget, or click on the browse link to select the file from your computer.
After the file upload has been completed, refresh the browser window to see your uploaded file. You can upload as many files that are specific to Cancer Patient Navigation as you’d like.
- We recommend uploading standard Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDF files, or image files (.JPG, .PNG, .GIF).
File Naming Tips
Your file upload will need a meaningful name (e.g. Cancer_Navigation_Strategies_March) and not something random (e.g. ev1_24nav). Think of what you would want to see if you were visiting the Shared Practice for the first time.
